From Karen Calvert, Commissioner on the Maryland Veteran’s Commission:

I have spoken to each of you at one time or another regarding the progress of the Maryland Women's Veteran Memorial. Our report with a recommended location was submitted on time, and at long last, Governor Moore has approved our recommendation of placing it at the Maryland Veterans Museum in Newburg, Charles County, MD.  

 Exactly what happens next is unknown at this time, but there is a lot of work to do to make this objective a reality.  I will keep you up to date as I hear the next set of details.

 Congratulations, and thank you to all concerned for getting us this far. Now, we need to find someone to design the Memorial so we will know how much to raise.
