Every year the Maryland Council of Chapters, in conjuction with The Adjutant General of Maryland, presents an award to the National Guard Unit of the Year.

The 2023 National Guard Unit of the Year is the 235th Civil Engineering Flight, a subordinate unit of the 175th Wing.
