The Fort Meade Chapter was established on 23 May 1991.

Chapter Mission Statement:

• To promote, protect the rights of, and foster relationships among active duty, National Guard, Reserve personnel, and veterans of the uniformed services and their families.
• Further the legislative and other objectives of MOAA and the Maryland Council of Chapters.
• Serve the community and the Nation.
• Support the national defense, particularly in times of war or national emergency.

Chapter membership is free for the first year, then either $12 for one year or $30 for three years. Members whose dues are expiring may visit https://fort-meade-chapter-payments.cheddarup.com to pay through the MOAA Dues Payment Portal.
