We have a great team. Over the past several years, our chapter has been very active in support of MOAA's advocacy priorities. We have also conducted several fund-raising events that allowed us to donate over $100,000 to support MOAA's mission and our local community, to include the MOAA Foundation, MOAA Scholarship Fund, the MOAA Crisis Relief Fund, the Coast Guard Foundation, Fisher House, Hero Dogs, the DAV, Hospice of Frederick County, the Maryland Food Bank, Feeding Pennsylvania Foodbank, the Mountaineer Food Bank, Operation Second Chance, Platoon 22, America's VetDogs, and No Person Left Behind Outdoors. We also actively support the Maryland Council of Chapters and the Maryland Military Coalition.

We enjoy six chapter events every year that include our Annual Picnic, an Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon, and an Annual Holiday Luncheon.  Our next event is a chapter membership luncheon at The Carriage House Inn in Emmitsburg, MD on Saturday, 25 April where we will host graduating ROTC Cadets from Mount St. Mary’s University and Hood College. The details of this event will be in our next newsletter.

We have two levels of chapter membership: Regular Annual Membership ($20/year) and Life Membership ($150). Applicants may send a check made out to the Upper Potomac Chapter, MOAA, or use our Cheddar Up website  (see: Chapter Life Memberships $150 - Cheddar Up or Annual Dues $20 - Cheddar Up).
